The Fifth Edition of SME DAY took place on 14th November; it’s an event promoted by Piccola Industria (Confindustria’s SME Organization focused on SME policies), intended to foster the dialogue between enterprises and education, so that the youngsters can live a working day in an enterprise.
Caffè Mauro reacted positively to this invitation receiving a class of a Polytechnic School of the city, which could see all the industrial processes connected with the coffee making and appreciate the Academy's specialities. In fact, education has always been a theme dear to the Company, which has always tried to value the young talents, at first with scholarships and then with internships. In this way the Company gives an opportunity to young graduates of different subjects to gain experience in the field, not only passing the Company's Know How, but also using them as a resource; in fact, many of them have been regularly employed and now are part of the company staff. And this is a reason of pride for the Company, if you consider that in 2014 Caffè Mauro increased its employment index by 10%, showing an opposite trend as to the national and local data.
